This poignant piece delves in the nature of human experience. At times light and playful, at times stark and entrancing, the choreography moves us in very personal ways. A cast of five dancers, lure audiences in, with personal stories of love, friendship, loss and life, energy and physicality to take us to a more muted and abstract experience that becomes highly intimate. Uplifting and inspiring,…in the middle with you makes an emotional poem of the every day life.

Hagit Yakira’s sophisticated and intimate work explores the varying dynamics of human relationships. She plays and shapes fiction and reality seamlessly shifting drama and humour through well-constructed structures. Audiences engage with the work because of its empathic nature that draws out the feelings and emotion in the dancers that are identifiable to all. Her background in dance and movement therapy informs her warm approach which enables her to talk to people through her work in a way that is compassionate and relevant to a wide age rand from diverse background.

Hagit Yakira dance creates work where storytelling, intimacy, dance and text are uniquely interwoven into an individual interpretation of inter human relationships and emotions through dance theatre and performance.
