Fools Gold by Malcolm Webb
David, a ‘covert excavator’ (otherwise known as grave robber) is unexpectedly interrupted by a mysterious stranger who claims to be his new digging partner. What follows is a series of mishaps, misunderstandings and increasing frustration from David as he tries to work with this seemingly incompetent buffoon to complete a very important ‘excavating’ mission.

Doctor Brother, My Favourite Niece by Luke Haywood
We present... the world's greatest play! A father, a mother, a daughter, her lover, an uncle, a doctor, a butler, a priest and a troublesome brother. A marriage, a plan to run away, two affairs... and possibly a nun in the attic. Four actors. Simple enough really.

The Future is Localised by Josh Powers
The North is gaining independence from The South, but the question of where the capital should be, or even what counts as the north are in question. In an escalating argument the five decision makers battle back and forth over what a new, liberated north will look like. Subterranean? Flooded Swampland? Ripon as an Exclave of the South? Or even Sacking Durham University as if its Constantinople on a Righteous mission to Liberate Sunderland!

Fresh Hell by Rebecca Harrison
Del, Alice and Yas live together in Halls. They have an odd nebula of friends; including the posh, meek, mummy’s boy Angus; the australian exchange student Carl Isle (no, he has not heard of the place); the very Christian, very repressed Faun; and the sex-obsessed Phoebe, who’s always talking about her absent boyfriend, Brie. When a night out wreaks havoc on Alice and Del’s personal lives, the play tips into a farce where they have to pick up the pieces. Del has to ward off unwanted "guests" from 'firewood' (definitely not tinder) that she doesn't remember inviting over, whilst being haunted by her toxic ex, Henrietta. The innocent Alice is confused by love and gets roped into picking up Carl’s daily dose of cocaine, to the distress of Angus, who is(not-so-)secretly in love with her. Del tries to protect Alice, at her own expense, and misunderstandings bring underlying tensions in their friendship to the surface. Yas is also there.
Content warnings: strong language, sexual references, scenes of a sexual nature, alcohol and drug use, discussion of terminal illness (including cancer), discussion of sexual assault and discussion of the menopause.
