Some Other Mirror
Gender is calling, and this time, it’s a video conference.
'Some Other Mirror' is an autobiographical solo show that explores a gender identity crisis, in the high-pressure isolation of the COVID lockdown. It uses Zoom to dramatize the performer’s fight to come to terms with being a trans man, with other versions of himself appearing in his bedroom as argumentative, and advisory, video callers. The show touches on the transmasculine experience of feminism, internalised transphobia, self-love, self-hatred, and self-actualization.
