If Words Had Wings

This performance draws on real conversations and shared testimonies to examine how girls and women are shaped and reshaped by the worlds they move through. In a deliberately safe and playful creative space, a group of girls dress up, dress down, and speak back to expectations placed on female bodies, behaviour, and voice.

Through lived experience, interruption, and reflection, the piece interrogates ideas of transformation — not just as something chosen freely, but also as something often demanded. These are stories of growing up, being watched, going through change and finding ways to be heard.

We invite you to witness a collective act of listening and watching of stories that refuse to stay silent as this play is what happens when words get the chance to fly.
