By Annie Baker
In a run-down movie theatre, three underpaid employees sweep the floors of popcorn and attend to one of the last 35mm film projectors in the area.
Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the action of the lacklustre, second run movies on the screen. The Flick is a hilarious and heart-rending cry for authenticity in a fast-changing world as Baker invites us to experience moments at the movies, but not on screen.
